SKF Energy Efficient (E2) Spherical Roller Bearings

The SKF Energy Efficient spherical roller bearings (E2) belong to SKF E2 performance class, providing at least 30% less friction than corresponding standard SKF bearings. They are designed to improve machine efficiency and to save energy, see presentation Energy Efficient solutions.

These bearings belong to SKF E2 performance class family, providing:

• optimized internal geometry for reduced friction
• new cage design
• unique lubricant

Important

SKF E2 performance can only be achieved when using the SKF Energy Efficient grease LESA 2.

To indicate that the bearing belongs to the SKF E2 performance class, the prefix “E2.” has been added to the basic bearing designation (fig).

SKF Energy Efficient bearings are supplied in standard boxes with a special layout reflecting the E2 concept (fig).
